Wow, you must be bored… you clicked on my About page? Really? I guess thanks are in order.
Here’s the short breakdown:
Happily married Father of two, and I am pleased to say I finally introduce myself as a filmmaker. I graduated at Fremantle’s Film & Television Institute Advanced Diploma in Screen course in 2008 and will be lecturing in First Assistant Directing there later in 2009.
Right now I partake in freelance video editing, I muscle on to as many sets as crews will let me, all the while begging, pleading and stealing for grants and funds for my independent short films. I also write when I find the time…
You can also find me at www.quartertofour.com. I’m also the webmaster of The Exorcist Fansite www.captainhowdy.com, which has led me to meet the great Paul Schrader in Rome… but that’s a story I like to tell over a drink after you’ve shaken my hand.
It seems a selection of my short films contain scary music and blood, but I do try desperately to ensure there is more thinking to be done by the audience. I’m intrigued by human emotion and relationships and have some less gory projects to back this up in funding circles right now (meaning my fingers are firmly crossed all day long waiting to hear if they will be successful or not…) When funding gets knocked back, I split the budget hard and scratch it together myself.
