Videos? Write On!
by Jason Stringer
I’ve been so busy making video blogs and completing old short film projects that I have ignored the writing element of my blog. It might seem strange to come here and only see videos posted lately, but I promised myself to work on more film-orientated things and the video blogs happen pretty easily. Plus I get plenty of positive feedback about them so I will keep ‘em coming, I guess. At the same time I’ve had requests for me to keep my writing happening on here as well.
I guess I have pretty much left Kerry up to the photos-and-writing about our family on her blog while I get on with my hungriest creative side here.
While text has been minimal here on my blog I have been writing like a madman elsewhere. Plot ideas, scene breakdowns, short stories and screenplays are falling out of my head like sand out of your hair after you’ve been swimming at the beach all day… (something I can actually do here in the West, though I really didn’t do it enough this summer.) And while I enjoyed the blistering red desert sunsets in outback South Australia, nothing inspires my writing more than standing on the sandy shores and watching the sun disappear behind dark thunderclouds as they roll over the ocean. Then drive home in the rain. Pure gold for me.
I’m attending film school, my gorgeous boy is growing strong and smiling big, and my beautiful wife continues to ignite my soul and charge my batteries each and every day. I feel like I’m on the right path. Life right now smacks of change and happy futures.
Now if I could just earn some fucking money at the same time…

Money is second in order of importance only to oxygen they say, but mate when you’ve found your calling in life, that’s what really counts. Keep up the good work.
Oh and did I mention, I love the new look of the blog too!
“If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.”
Very profound, Danny – I like it. Same to you, Uncle Tim. Thanks for the support!
I love your video blogs, and all of the kids love watching them too, although your films should carry a 15+ rating!!! You are doing a very good job of everything – Dad, video blogs, writing blogs, making films etc etc!! Mate, proud of you! Wish I could give you and Kerry and Anthony a hug. Here’s some kisses instead xxxxxx
Thanks for the kisses AnneeNeet!
