And the editing continues…
by Jason Stringer
I tried, I really did. I chained myself to that chair and remained glued to my editing suite for hours and hours, putting together final outputs of Hair Dye. Kerry was out the house, it was the perfect opportunity to nail this short film and get it out the way.
I made some real progress. D now has a teaser to score and the first half of the completed film is uploading as I type this. I had hoped to move on to Living With Benjamin, a second short waiting to be polished, but my body – my back – denied me the opportunity.
I have been there before. A crook back. It ‘aint good! The second I felt it pinch just slightly, I got the hell out of that chair to stretch. CRACK. I was in trouble! And that was the end of the weekend editing stint.
I still expect Hair Dye to be finished by November. One month to go. Easy. If this persistence keeps up, I will also have Benjamin finished by the end of the year. When I think about how they are both still not finished it makes my blood boil. Literally I get frustrated and peak out at myself.
The feeling of having these completed is going to be fantastic. I look forward to looking forward to future projects.
