Tormented by glimpses of a past he is not aware of, agoraphobic Benjamin lives out his days in the confines of his run-down home, obsessed with collecting the mail, showering and keeping his delicate coffee mug spotless clean. He is forced to finally face the past he has tried to ignore when he wakes from a nightmare to find his precious mug broken.
“‘Benjamin’ is the first short film I have directed to be accepted into film festivals and generate tons of feedback, all of which I have found invaluable. Shot over a grueling week, the four of us, Clint, Drummond, Dark and myself, bonded and argued while desperately putting this film together. It drained me like I never knew a film production could, and if ever there was a film to throw a brick to my face about the true process of making films (before I had studied at film school, you see…) Benjamin remains the most memorable production and result.”
